COMPLIANCE

Upholding Transparency, Ethics, and Global Standards

At Ideal of Sweden, we believe that responsible business practices go hand in hand with creating beautiful products. For us, sustainability isn't just about materials; it's about building a foundation of fairness and transparency. By working closely with international standards and compliance frameworks, we guide our global network of partners and suppliers to maintain safe working conditions, protect human rights, and minimize environmental impact.

Responsible Supply Chains & Due Diligence

We operate a transparent and highly monitored supply chain. Recognizing the complexities of global manufacturing, we take proactive responsibility through a risk-based due diligence. When selecting business partners, we prioritize and look for suppliers who hold internationally recognized certifications, such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, BSCI, GRS, or SMETA, ensuring that our environmental and ethical standards are shared from the very start.

Product Safety & Regulatory Diligence

Safety is an absolute cornerstone of our product strategy, and we continuously enforce stringent chemical and structural standards across our entire assortment to safeguard both human health and local ecosystems. Guided by our double materiality assessments, we ensure full compliance with the EU REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 by conducting regular testing at independent third-party facilities, while requiring our suppliers to source strictly from REACH-compliant partners. In markets where lower local regulations apply, we voluntarily choose to maintain these higher European safety standards globally. For our electronic and tech accessories, we adhere closely to the RoHS Directive (Directive 2011/65/EC) to restrict hazardous substances. In line with this, we secure compliance with the WEEE and BATT directives, ensuring that electronic components and batteries are responsibly recovered and integrated into safe end-of-life recycling systems. This secures safe daily usage and improves the prospects of future material recycling.

Looking Ahead with PPWR Readiness, as environmental regulations evolve, we ensure our operations stay ahead of the curve. We are closely monitoring and actively preparing for the upcoming EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), optimizing our packaging designs and circular processes to be fully aligned with these future European standards well in advance.

Furthermore, as members of EcoVadis, our environmental, social, and ethical practices are constantly evaluated against trusted global frameworks, including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the United Nations Global Compact principles, helping us maintain a reliable and responsible path forward.

Ethics, Human Rights & Anti-Corruption

We maintain an absolute zero-tolerance stance against any form of bribery, fraud, or corruption, and we are dedicated to acting professionally, fairly, and with unwavering integrity in all global business dealings. Our Code of Conduct forms a foundational, contractually binding agreement for all business partners, establishing clear requirements based on international conventions, including the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Labour Organization (ILO) core conventions. As a global brand, safeguarding human rights across our entire value chain is a fundamental responsibility. We adopt a proactive, risk-based approach to systematically identify and mitigate human rights risks, with a strict focus on preventing forced labor, child labor, and social discrimination, particularly among vulnerable groups within high-risk manufacturing regions. Through continuous due diligence, annual risk assessments, and collaborative action, we ensure that fundamental rights and fair working conditions are consistently upheld.

Human Rights Due Diligence policy

To secure full transparency, we have hosted an anonymous, secure whistleblower system since 2021. This platform allows employees and external stakeholders to report any suspected misconduct safely and without fear of retaliation.
